We know that many Numrichs who came to America in the late 19th Century/early 20th Century came from an area that is now part of Poland, called Padew.

The region in which Padew is found is called Mielec County.

Our family line prior to Padew goes back into primarily the state of Hesse in Germany.

But what I'd like to know is if our family originally came from a town called Nümbrecht, Germany. It is not too far from known locations of Numrichs, and it seems to me that our family name could be derived from the town in which they lived.

Thoughts anyone?

Back to It
It's been a busy couple of years for me but I've got a little more time to get back to work on the family genealogy. I will strive to add more content to this site over the next couple of months.
